Supply Chain Management – New Product Development Process Redesign – Merged Medical Services Division:

Cross functional team based approach to: understand the current new product development processes used across the business as well as the new product development requirements of senior management; redesign the process flow; develop new and reliable methods and process measures; and implement the new process. New product development selection process radically improved with over 6 month of delay time removed. Division eliminated in corporate merger prior to completion – elements used in new global R&D process.

Logistics cost and efficiency improvements – Telecommunications:

Shipping and delivery reliability were costly and inconsistent. This led local procurement managers to buy “buffer” stock to defend against unpredictable outages Streamlining the process involved consolidating with one logistics supplier that provided other needed services, such as regional inventory management. This provided a “one-stop-shopping” solution, solving problems beyond the client’s immediate freight forwarding issue.

Strategic Sourcing, Education and Change Management – Global Pharmaceutical Company:

Worked with client to develop a consistent sourcing approach to be deployed on a global basis as part of a merger and integration process. Over 1200 practitioners trained globally and follow-on support provided in change management and strategy development enabled the client to achieve over $1Billion in savings.

Organization Assessment and Design – Global Medical Devices and Products Company:

The changing business dynamics and demands to drive process and overall performance improvement led to the need for a comprehensive assessment of resources, processing and capabilities. Two specific assessments ensued, one for procurement and one for demand planning. Assessment criteria were based on functional capabilities and benchmarked against best practice. These assessments spanned all levels and resulted a streamlined organization design of the respective procurement and planning organizations. Recommendations were also procided addressing individual development needs.
