Ron Guertin

Previous supply chain consulting firm experience

Prior to co-founding eXegy, Ron was a senior manager with a supply chain consulting firm working in procurement and supply chain transformation. In the six years Ron worked there, he led post-merger and cross-functional category management teams in numerous healthcare, medical device, heavy manufacturing, and high- technology clients. Each client over-delivered on their savings targets and achieved sustainable transformation through the targeted application of education and personal coaching (including the development of award-winning global training and education programs). Highlighted results include:

  • 60+% cost-down in global telecoms
  • 20+% price concessions on spec-critical flavor compounds, plus preferential access to innovation

Previous corporate experience

Ron worked for both Electronic Data Systems (EDS)/A.T. Kearney and AT&T Solutions, where he was a managing supply chain consultant involved with transportation and supply chain innovation as well as business process re-engineering. Ron's grounding in the corporate world includes over 25 years of line experience in a diverse range of corporate settings, including Digital Equipment Corporation. There, he had responsibility for hundreds of millions of dollars of spend (inbound transportation, car & truck fleet leasing, corporate travel plus others) and implemented numerous breakthroughs and sustainable savings initiatives. Ron started his career with the General Motors Corporation in the New Departure-Hyatt Bearings Division.

Education & professional highlights

Ron holds a Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University) and an MBA from Northeastern University. Ron is also a qualified Myers-Briggs (MBTI) practitioner.
